Edit a page - Step 3.2
Possibly inside your page you want to link to another page or file, located inside or outside your website. If that's the case, you have to include a hyperlink ("link" for short) inside your page. You can do this by selecting the concerning text, and push the button "Add/Edit Hyperlink". A new window will open with a Wizard, which will guide you further on.
First you will be asked where exactly you want to link to. There are three possibilities:
- Link from Site index
- Custom URL
- Link to file
In case of "Link from Site index" you will be shown the tree view of your website you are familiar with from the left side of your window. In this tree view you can select a page from your website you want to link to.
In case of "Custom URL" you can type a web adress like "http://help.footsteps.nl/" as you are used to from your browser. In this way you can link to pages from other websites.
Finally you can choose to link to a file. If that's the case, you can navigate through your folders of your file system to select the file to link to. With this wizard, it is also possible to add a file, and link it, at the same time.
In all cases you can, after choosing the destination of your link, "Complete" the Wizard to create the link. An other possibility is to leftclick "Next" for more advanced properties like the title of the link, and the window inside which the link is to be opened. For example inside a new browserwindow, or inside a popup window. By default the same window will be used.
Edit Hyperlinks
If you want to change the destination of an existing hyperlink, you have to place the cursor inside the hyperlink text, and leftclick the button "Add/Edit Hyperlink" A properties window will be shown in which you can change all values you choose for inside the wizard when creating the link. Alternatively you can rightclick the link and choose "Edit hyperlink" inside the context menu to open the properties window.
Remove Hyperlinks
If you want to remove a hyperlink, you have to place the cursor inside the hyperlink text and push the button "Remove hyperlink". Alternatively you can rightclick the link and choose "Remove hyperlink" inside the context menu to delete the link.
