Images
Just like webpages have to be located on a server, so they can be seen on the internet, images also have to be placed on a server to make them available. If you want an image to be on your website, you have to upload his image.
Footsteps is supplied with an extensive system for managing images. You have a well-orginized view of the images inside the system, and it enables you to upload images easily.
By pushing the button "Images" inside the upper buttonbar of the system, you will enter the Image management system. At all times you can switch to another part of the system. Changes you didn't save, for example after editing a page, will not be lost. If you return to the concerning part, your changes will still be there, and you can continue editing.
If you open Image management, you will see a tree view of the folders containing the images. After clicking a folder, the images inside that folder will be shown inside the center part. If you place your mouse cursor on an image, a thumbnail of that image will be shown. If you click an image, then a new window will open containing the original image. Using the contextmenu you can take a look at the other formats of the image, copy the image, move the image, delete the image, and take a look at its properties. The same goes for the context menu of the folders. Besides the folder tree view, you can also take a look at the defined images sizes, watermarks and the recycle bin, by leftclicking the appropriate tab. The use of formats and watermarks will be explained inside the extensive manual and the reference book.
The following links redirect to more information about using Image management, but you can also choose to continue to the subject "Files". If you want to know about including images inside pages, we redirect you back to "Edit a page - Step 3.3".
